Today was not a good day...I am not sure why, but I was a bit nasty. I think this picture pretty much sums it up!!

Da Vinci or Da Cleaner??

Mommy has been holding off on buying me crayons that write on glass for quite some time now. Since she might be stuck inside with me during this upcoming snow storm- she wanted to have a new activity to keep me busy. So...her fear of cabin fever beat out her OCD about me not marking up the house and she splurged!! I tested them out today and LOVE them!  I guess I have genetically been predisposed to mommy's OCD, though- because I think I enjoyed cleaning up my masterpiece as much as I enjoyed making it!

Geography Lesson

This weekend, daddy attempted to teach me a thing or two about geography. He does not want me to follow in mommy's footsteps- who only knows the states on the perimeter of North America, the Continents and some countries in Europe. She might know a scant more than that- but she is a self proclaimed "geographical mess!!" Dadda, on the other hand- is quite a whiz. This globe that we were playing with talks, has a pen that you can point out things on the big round ball, and it will tell you all kinds of facts! It is a learning globe- but also a fun one! I basically just sat there & watched daddy admiringly as he took on the globe and showed it who was boss! I am sure that he will pass along his massive amounts of knowledge one day- but for this "lesson" I just looked at the pretty colors and enjoyed turning the dial, poking the pen &  making the cool toy talk in it's robot voice!

Ah-nella

Antonella and I got to hang this weekend!!!!! I REALLY like being with her- but boy does she make me feel short! At least there is not quite the discrepancy as there has been in the past, but she definitely has some tall genes that are going to definitely help her later in life when she becomes a model!! We played in her "Italian Bistro & Irish Bar" (in honor of her heritage) kitchen, hugged & kissed, watched some Yo Gabba Gabba, talked about how much we love being kids and telling our parents what to do, and she even let me walk around all night with her Micky Mouse doll. Oh- and her mommy made my pudding!!!!!! I was afraid to try it at first since I am soooo picky about my food- but after my mamma stealthily slipped a bit into my mouth, I was ALL ABOUT the pudding!!! As always- fun fun fun spending time with my Ah- nella.  Let's do it again soon...

It's About Time!

So- mommy and Uncle Sam have been on "the outs" for the last few months and have finally decided to put their differences aside. This makes me extremely happy because I could tell mamma was down about this and now she seems much happier. Uncle Boog came over and I got to hang with him for a while and catch up! He gave me my Christmas presents (a super cool ring toss and some bathtub crayons) and most importantly he showed me videos of a giggling belly laughing Luke on his iphone. Video's are OK- but I wanna see that little cutie in person...so continue on this healthy path of forgiveness and love & let's plan a get together so I can love on my cousin very soon!

Mr. Saturday Night

Oh, mommy & daddy- you do so much for me...but how could this have happened????? As a family- we all realized today that in my (almost) 2 years of life- I have never been out to dinner with JUST mommy and daddy. We have never had a dinner with just us 3 Musketeers!!! Don't get me wrong- I have been out to eat at various restaurants for dinner countless times- but always with aunts, uncles,cousins, grandparents & friends in tow! I am such a deprived child, huh?? So- mommy decided we needed to remedy this small oversight ASAP and we headed out to dine!! Not fine dining, mind you- just a family friendly restaurant within close proximity to our home...so Appleby's it was! I had a yummy mini cheeseburger, applesauce & milk. Nummy Nummy!! I was super well behaved and did not even need to use the emergency DVD player to keep me occupied, I just had some fun with my straw! So, mommy & daddy- since I was so awesome, I am thinking that this should become a Saturday night ritual...wadda ya say??

Splash Explosion

Most of the time, my bath is all business…get in, get clean, get out! Sometimes, though- mommy lets me go wild and have a crazy water fight. Today we had a doozie of a splish-splashing good time. I smacked that water so hard that I even claimed “owie” on my hands! Mommy swears that there was not one dry inch of bathroom. I totally soaked mamma and I got tons of water in my eyes, but it was all worth it! Hopefully the bathroom dries out soon…

Home Baked (not home made) Cookies

Mommy and I are attending a Valentine's Day party tomorrow that was pushed off from last week due to weather. Mommy totally forgot all about the party (and the fact that I needed to bring valentine's to pass out to my friends). So- off we went to try to find a store that still had some left over cards available. While there, mamma decided that we should take some cookies to the party so she bought all the fixins! I was so excited to "make" cookies that I refused to let go of the box in the store and I insisted upon clutching it to my body for the entire ride home, too!! I never even knew that there was such a thing as fresh baked, hot from the oven cookies until today and now I know what heaven really is!! I do have to divulge that mommy did not make these cookies from scratch- but she will even admit that she is not a baker...so store bought mix just had to make do. Hey...I am not complaining at all- I thought they were yummy and I was literally chomping at the bit to get my hands on one while they were cooling. I learned two things today...1. I have a great deal of patience- and was impressed with myself that I had the self control to not bug mommy too much while she was baking. 2. A sugar high from a warm cookie on a chilly day is fabulous!

Clean Up

About a month ago, mamma decided that it was long over due that I start helping with putting away the massive amounts of toys that I play with throughout the day. Personally, I don't see the point of why she does this every night...I am just going to get them all out again the next day!!! Suffice it to say, mommy and I are just going to have to agree to disagree on this point- but since she does have the final word, I have had to do what she says and CLEAN!! If I have to do this nasty task, then the least I can do it make it fun! Instead of just robotically putting the toys back in their specific (OCD much, mamma??) basket- I do it with flair like only I can!!!! Sometimes I do a little over the shoulder backwards picking up and other times I stare up at the ceiling and let the pieces fall- all while trying to use my peripheral vision. Gotta keep those monotonous chores interesting, because I feel like there are many many many years of this in my future!

V-Day Weekend

I was one loved & lucky little boy this weekend. Not only did daddy NOT go to Florida for the Daytona 500 like planned, but Mommom and Poppy came & spent the night with us on Saturday and then to top the weekend off, we went to Uncle Jeff & Aunt Nina's on Sunday and spent time with them, as well as Aunt Courtney and my fun cousins Robbie & Owen! The only major bummer to the weekend was that mommy and daddy did not share their lobster dinner with me on Saturday...they waited until I was asleep before indulging- sheesh!! The mini M&M's (inside super cool Valentine footballs) and animal crackers that Mommom and Poppy brought me definitely made me less upset about not getting to try the (YIKES) live & ever so fresh crustaceans! I gave extra attention to Mommom because I had been focusing  my energy on wrestling with Poppy during past visits- so I wanted to even out the love on this one!! It is always fun to see my cousins, so Robbie, Owen & I had fun...maybe a little too much since I was a little rough with O-E  (as I lovingly call him.) I thought they were just love taps in honor of Valentine's Day- but apparently mamma was not buying this excuse!! She set me straight and I know that next time I have to be a little bit more gentle to my younger cuz! Such a wonderful, love filled weekend!

Snowed In!!

After a week of 60 degree weather, we returned home to a blizzard. Luckily we missed the first wave of snow- but the second one got us good!!! Being stranded in the house was not too bad since mommy and I were catching up on our sleep and adjusting from the jet lag. we even got a freebie day with daddy since he had a snow day off of work! I didn't want to venture out into it too much, I was just happy throwing snow balls at mommy, daddy and the door. Since I refused to wear my gloves, my hands definitely resembled popsicles, but it was worth it so I could really throw that white cold stuff molded into balls!! The snow was fun- but having had that taste of sun in San Diego- I am ready for Spring!!
