After a busy week of mommy working on the sale of our home, being sick and dealing with general sense of stress that has been looming around our house for the past week, mamma and I had a super wonderful relaxing day today! I don't really understand what is going on- but I have noticed that something is up! Mommy has tried to fill me in that in two weeks, our lives are going to be quite different than those that I remember from the past two years. Our house will be sold, most of our belongings in storage, and we will be summer vagabonds roaming from place to place until we find the perfect house to buy. But today- we did not think about that...we just rode my bike, rumpused & wrestled and blew lots of bubbles while enjoying the wonderful weather.

Shoe-topia
I have raided mommy's closet numerous times over the past week and have had some fun with her (many many many)shoes. Two different times now- mommy and daddy have heard clomp clomp clomp coming down the hallway and then have seen me enter the room, sauntering, in heels. Both times mommy and daddy did not even know what I was getting into- so they were shocked whent they saw me. More than being shocked at the shoes I was wearing, I think they were more in awe of how well I can walk in heels!!! (Oh, and daddy was sightly mortified that I was even wearing heels!!!)

Snap Happy
If any of you have not met my mommy yet- this is what she looks like!!!!! Nah- actually she does have a face, but it is typically hidden behind that black box of a camera that she is constantly shoving in my face. But hey- I guess that is a small price to pay for all of the pics she snaps because it assists me in my bloggin' and I totally need 8 billion pics to look back on one day!!!

LAX
I got to go to my first lacrosse game today!!!! Mommy's cousin Jordan plays for Haverford College and we went to cheer him on this afternoon. It was fun to watch- and also see Devn, Kit, Christopher, Mommom, Poppy and Pipop who were also there to support Jordan! After socializing for about 30 seconds, I was way into the game!! Jordan must have been darn good, because I heard a lot of people clapping for him and yelling his name and they were not even our family!!!!! I wanted to go onto the field and play with him and his team, but mommy and daddy would not let me, darnit. They did encourage me to watch and learn, so that way I could get a scholarship to college and then I would be able to play on the field with the big boys!!!!! Mommy and I have played with my lacrosse sticks in the backyard. I am tying to get better- but it is the one sport so far that is giving me just a little bit of trouble!! As I wind up to throw the ball, I always have the stick held backwards and it falls out behind me. Mommy did play in high school- but she was not that great so I am not going to rely on her to help me hone my skills. I guess that is OK, since we do have a lacrosse superstar in the family, Jordan will just have to teach me...
My Buddies
I have decided to follow in the footsteps of my older and wiser godsista, Greta. How am I following her? Well- I feel that she was on the right track with her idea to carry around numerous lovies at the same time. She has taken it a step further than I believe I will because not only does she carry around her lovies, but also a stuffed pig and her sippy cup hanging from her mouth. I will keep it a bit more stream lined and simply tote my three most fav stuffed animals with me. As you all know I have loved and adored Cat for some time now. Well- a few weeks ago Bun Bun made his entrance, and now I have added my hat trick...Hoovie, the black lab from NYC. (Auntie Jane went with mommy to NY this week and she was so kind to bring me back this really cool stuffed animal from FAO Schwartz that I named after CiCi & Bud's dog, Hoover.) These stuffed animals come with me everywhere!!!! I make mommy bring them into the bathroom during tub time, they watch me eat my meals, sit next to me in the car, and they MOST DEFINITELY have to be with me in the crib at all times!!!!! Most of the time they are too plush and unweildy for me to be able to handle myself- so the task falls to mamma. I should give her a break and not have her carry them...but I do so love them and want them to come everywhere with us. It is funny watching her try to get herself, me, Hoovie, Cat & Bun Bun out the door along with her purse. keys and whatever else she might have in her hands!!!! Maybe as much as having my friends with me, I enjoy watching mommy try to juggle them all!!!!! Boy do I love my buddies and I know that they love me!!

Male Bonding
Here are some pics of Daddy and I just hangin' around this weekend at the play ground in Avalon. We are going to have a lot more male bonding time on Tuesday and Wednesday while Mommom and Mamma and in New York celebrating mommy's birthday and Mommom's new promotion to Superintendent of Cecil County School System (first woman EVER)!!! Stay tuned for all the fun things we get into during mamma's absence...
Sharks & Buggies & Dino's, Oh My!!!
I am an equal opportunity kiddie- so even though my love of figurines started with my Playmobile people and my sharks, I am trying to encompass every different type into my daily repertoire! A few weeks ago, down at the cottage with Mommom and Poppy, I was deathly afraid of a small fly. I would not eat my breakfast because it was circling the table and I seriously freaked out, was shaking, crying and I made mommy hold me. This is the first time that I have really ever showed fear towards anything and mommy was a bit flabbergasted. Well- last week we were at Target and they had these ginormous ugly bugs that I went gaga over. Mommy, in a way that only a mommy can, justified buying these so that they would help me to get over my fear of bugs. Ummm...not too sure about the logic there, mamma...since these bugs are not real, cannot fly and cannot land on me with their grubbiness- but I will go along with it because it meant I got some cool new figurines!! Bud had also stocked the toy chest at the beach with some awesome dinosaurs and tons of different cars with faces on them...and just like my Uncle Sammy did years before me, I took great pride in lining them all up in a nice neat row! I had a blast this weekend sitting at the dining room table like a big boy- making the dino fight the bee, and the dragonfly kick some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle bootie, while the zebra striped car drove circles around the farm cow!! Maybe next week I will feign a fear of Transformers an Chewbacca so I can get my hands on some of those new toys!!!!!

My Mommy Turned 35!!!!
Yesterday was mommy's birthday- so in celebration of her 35th year- I wanted to share some pics of just me & my mamma from this weekend!!!! We had a wonderful weekend, spending some time in Avalon with Bud & CiCi, frolicking on the beach, hanging at the playground and riding my bike around the block again and again and again!!!! Oh- and momma and daddy left me with Bud and CiCi to toddler sit while they went out for dinner and a movie so they could celebrate mommy's b-day adult style. Mommy said that it was her best birthday in years!!!!!! She said just being with her family and doing fun things like cuddling with me on the couch made her feel like the luckiest woman on earth! Glad I could help with that, mamma!!! Happy B-Day!

CiCi's Celebration
My CiCi had a Birthday today and we were there to celebrate with her!!!!!!!! Mommy and I headed down to Avalon yesterday so she could have visitors with her on her special day. From the moment we got there it was FUN FUN FUN!!! We tooled around the block on my bike, hit the beach and threw tons of shells into the ocean and ate yummy birthday meals & spectacular birthday cake. We even skyped with Uncle Boog and Lukey since it was indeed a work week and they could not be here with us. This is the first of many trips down to 17th street this summer 2010 and we started it off with a bang! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CiCi...thanks for letting me share in your special day. I love you and can't wait to celebrate many many many more with you!!

Home Improvements
Last week, mommy and daddy got new windows for the house. They decided that they would take advantage of the nice "buyers" market and look for a new house for us, but before doing that- they needed to upgrade a few things in our existing house to get it ready to put onto the market! So there were workmen aplenty here and mommy and I had to get out of their way. I (for some odd reason unbenownst to even me) did not want to spend time outside and mommy had not had the forethought to plan a play date outside of the house, so we had to hole ourselves in mommy & daddy's room for a portion of the day. Mommy said I had a "freebie" tv day and we did a lot of relaxing and being mellow on the bed. Here are some of my fav pics of me just being a chill little kid (for once!!)

I Yuv U
Mommy has said that this phrase is music to her ears. I have been saying it for some time now- but this is the first time that she has been able to capture it on video! The first time I ever said it was not even to my mamma & daddy. That's OK- mommy has made me make up for than 100 fold...asking me to say it to her daily! ( and sometimes I even say it without her incessant pestering!) I guess I don't really mind- because I love seeing the look on mommy & daddy's faces when they say it back to me.
2 Year Stats
I got to go to the doctor today to have my 2 year checkup and I was not a happy camper. For the last 2 years, every single time that I have gone to the doc I have gotten shots- so in anticipation of this happening to me again, I cried a ton!!! Ironically, I did not have to get any shots this time- yet I probably freaked out more than any other appointment I have had to date. Besides the good news of hearing that I was not going to get pricked with a long shiny needle- the other high point to the visit was my glowing review from Dr. Long. She was super impressed with my cognitive, language and motor skills. (Ya hear that ladies??? I am the complete package!!!) She was very complimentary about how much I am talking, the countless words that I know and that I am talking in sentences. She also was in disbelief over my jumping abilities! She said that it had been a long time since she had seen a 2 year old jump like me and was really impressed!! My stats are as follows...
Height 85% 3 feetWeight 43% 27lbs 8.8oz
Head Circumference 71% 19.49 inches
I am going to take a second here to highlight a very important stat...Height 85%!! Yupper- that's right- 85%. That means that only 15% of boys my age are taller than me! (Again- I stress to the ladies- COMPLETE PACKAGE!!)
So- all in all it was a good visit- no shots, glowing report on my milestones and validation that I am not a shorty! Whew- just glad that I don't have to go back for another year!!!! I bet everyone in the office that heard me screaming is pretty darn glad too...

Playing Pretend
Mommy and I have been doing some pretend play recently- mostly in the form of pretend "seepy." Pretend sleeping consists of me stripping down until I am nakee, getting tucked in under covers and- you guessed it...pretending to sleep. Mommy, daddy or as was the case this week- CiCi, will lay down with me and also pretend to sleep. Once they are "snoring" or at least pretending to snore for me, I will ever so gently put my hand on their face and say "wake up" until they pop their eyes open! This just makes me roar with laughter and makes me utterly blissful. It might sound odd- but mommy has said that it is also her most favorite part of the day. It is a new little ritual in which she gets some calm quiet tender time with me. I think CiCi loved it too- I was especially sweet with her and really enjoyed our time together. There is only one thing that mommy wants to amend about it...pretend seepy time should come AFTER the bath and not before when my tushie has not been properly soaped and dried! I guess that would make it a bit less stinky!!
My Bike
I feel the need...the need for speed!!!!!!!!!!! Ever since the Easter Egg play date that mommy and I attended, I have been keeping my eye peeled for a bike of my own. Every time I see a kid on the street with one I would scream "BIKE" very loudly! Out of a desire for me to get a bike of my own and partially out of embarrassment from my loud outbursts of joy at seeing people on bikes, Mommy has also been on the lookout for one. She found me a cool one that is half way in between a big wheel and a bike. It even has an adjustable seat and pedal extenders (but my feet still don't reach the pedals yet due to my short legs.) When we got home from the store we got a wonderful surprise that was even better than my new wheels...daddy had gotten off of work early! His reward (besides getting to spend extra time with mommy and me) was to put my bike together!!!!! I did a great job helping him and really enjoyed our daddy son tool bonding time. I am a total speed demon and now I get to show off my bike around the neighborhood!!!

Into The Swing Of Things
This weekend, during our trip down to the cottage for Easter Sunday, mommy and daddy very wisely planned some extra time to just relax and have fun down at the river. The grounds of Mommom & Poppy's property are fun to explore- but there was something just a bit more colorful and plastic than the shrubs, flowers and water that caught my eye. Last year Poppy built a swing set with 2 big kid swings for Miles & Annie and one toddler one for me. Last year I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole, but this year Poppy and I had a fun time swinging in tandem!!! I was super impressed that he was out there with me- just swinging away! I think I am going to get some good use out of my swing this year- what about you, Poppy???
