Unicorn School

I had to get something straight and in my little 3 year old mind and I was just not sure of the answer...so I turned to mommy for help. After thinking long and hard- I told her I had to ask her a question...

"Mom- is my school like a Unicorn???"

After a quick puzzled look from mommy then a sudden facial expression of understanding and a few giggles- she explained "YES!!! Your school does look like a unicorn- but that long pointy thing on top of the school is called a steeple."

So- with that answer in hand I took it one step further- because inquisitive minds really do want to know.
"So- is there magic in my school like the unicorns have magic, mom?"
Glad to see that school has me searching for answers to tough questions- I guess that means there IS a little bit of magic in my unicorn school!!!!!

King Of The Hill

Well- I guess it is more like King of the Pebble Pile. To me, though- it might have as well been Mt. Everest!!!! This pile of crushed stone kept me busy for hours and hours. These rocks have been on our driveway since June- and I just discovered climbing, pounding, digging and jumping off of them this past week. Just in time for mommy and daddy to find a home for them and for them to disappear. Mommy is happy because she thinks that now we don' look like the Clampetts-but I will miss my beloved rock pile!

Backyard Critters

One of the cool things about my backyard is all the creatures I find while out there. Over the past few weeks I have stumbled upon worms, a turtle, a frog, some bunnies and even spiders!! I will never ever ever touch a bug- but when I saw the frog (whom I named Curtis) I was brave enough to even touch him! Daddy and I chased him around the patio and yard and we finally caught him long enough for mommy to snap a pic of the two of us...then Curtis was off to find his mommy. Enjoy that green wonderland that I call my yard, guys- and make sure you come and visit me again real soon!

The BIG 3-0!!!!!

Uncle Boog turned 30 back on Aug 28th, but since Auntie Jenna was taking care of her 2 week old baby- a party was just not in the cards for Uncle Sam. Fast forward 3 weeks, though- and SURPRISE!!!!!!! Auntie Jenna threw together a fabulous Mexican themed party to celebrate his 3rd decade attended by all of their family and friends. I had a blast sticking my fingers in his cake (Luke and I were prompted and got the OK from CiCi to do this!!) and playing with Luke's cousins Mac, Will and Maggie. W ran around the backyard and ate WAY more sweets than we should have. Uncle Sammy said he was indeed surprised and I thought he seemed like he had a wonderful day! So glad I got to help you celebrate your big day, Uncle Boog- it was AWESOME!!!

Owen Turns 3!!!

Last weekend I helped Owen celebrate his 3rd Birthday!!! His party was a Spider Man theme- which was absolutely awesome!!!!! It is so awesome that we both share a major love of superheroes. Lots of family was in attendance and really fun friends of Owen's, too. The kids got to play in the basement while the adults had fun upstairs. I loved the freedom of hanging out with my cuz, eating yummy cake and just playing with the kids. I even got to hang out with my newest cousin, Andrew. Owen and I are going to introduce him to everything that little boys should do- but we will wait until he is a bit older!!!  Not only was Saturday Owen's birthday- but it was another one of my cousins birthday's too. Maggie and Owen were born on the same day a few years apart- pretty cool, huh?? Maybe one day we can all celebrate their special days together- but until then, Happy Birthday Owen- hope your 3rd year brings you only the greatest things that life has to offer!!

On the way to school today, I was giving mommy some driving instructions...
"Mommy- when the light is red you stop and when the light is green you go...but when the light is yellow- you DANCE!!!!!"

School Days

"I drank too much milk and my tummy hurts, so I think I will stay here today." After a fabulous summer and looking forward to school for months & insisting mommy drive me by my school  numerous time just so I could look at it- I was less than thrilled to attend on my first real day of preschool last Thursday. Orientation on Tuesday was a bit overwhelming and made me super nervous. I hardly even ate yummy M&M pancake breakfast and made every excuse in the book not to go to school. Mommy insisted, though- and even abandoned me after I tried to get her to take me home with her. She refused and I cried bloody murder- but it all worked out very well in the end because I had a great time at school!!! I played with dinosaurs, ate a snack and even went to the bathroom all by myself with no help from my teacher Mrs. Bealer nor Mrs. Wilson, my teachers assistant!! This week when mommy dropped me off, I did not even bother to give her a hug or even say goodbye...I just ran into my class and got down to playing with my friends. So, I guess it is now official- I am a big school aged boy!!!

Fun Friends

Not only was my summer filled with family fun- but I managed to fit some super friend time in too. Not only just any old friends- but my favorite girls ever...Evie & Greta!!!!! My god sisters and of course Auntie KK and Tio Flo joined us in Avalon for a weekend of beach rumpusing and goofball antics! We played hard, laughed hard, swam hard, beached it hard and slept hard, too!
