Potty Training

Since I have to be potty trained for school in September, mommy decided it was time to potty train me. We did the 3 day "boot camp" and after a mere day and a half I was having no pee pee accidents and  by the 3rd day I was even able to make it all the way through my nap with no accidents. Poo has been a totally different story. Every "issue" that I could possibly have with #2, I have had. I argue with mom and every time we go into the bathroom to try to go #2, I cry and become quite belligerent. After holding it for a few days and an excruciating attempt- I  am now petrified of going on the potty. Since it was becoming such a power struggle and problem, mommy has reverted to pull-ups so at least I will not hold my poo and I will indeed go in the pull-up. After much research on the Internet, (and many many many reassuring stories about difficulties with boys being poopy trained) mommy feels confident that by not making it an issue, I will eventually come around once it is not a daily pressure for me. Let's just hope I get the hang of it by September because I really do want to be able to go to school!!!

Big Sis Nella

One of my bestest friends Antonella became a big sister and I got to meet her baby brother Ryan this past weekend. First of all, I gotta say- GREAT name!!!! You will go far with the name Ryan, little guy! After I got to meet, kiss on and be pretty darn sweet to the new little boy- Antonella and I got down to business. We drove my car, played with water squirters and drenched one another, watched a movie, ate popsicles and played our little hearts out. Just wait until you get a little older, Ryan- Antonella and I will show you how to have a major good time with friends!!!!

Manual Labor

Daddy's friend Torre is in town and when he comes to Pennsylvania from Hawaii, he stays with us for a few weeks and also helps daddy out with a house project. This year- the project was excavating a portion of our backyard so we could add a patio. And this year- like all others...Uncle Torr ends up doing (pretty much) the whole project with daddy pitching in when he can leave work early. Good thing for Uncle Torre that I was around to help this year!!!!!!! We worked hard in the sun & heat. Most of the time Uncle Tor worked and I just checked on him from the nice air conditioned house...but I did pitch in every now and again. It was hard work keeping tabs on him, though- because I insisted on checking to make sure "Uncle Torre was OK" about every 30 minutes. Thanks for all the hard work, Torre!!!! It is an awesome patio and if it ever cools down, we can sit out on it soon...

Transformers!!

About every 4 months, I have a new obsession. First it was Yo Gabba Gabba!, then Mickey Mouse, followed by Dinosaurs, Toy Story, Pirates, and now Transformers! Mommy thought I was obsessed before- but this is like an "I am in love with them crazy stalker" obsession. Morning, Noon & Night I am talking about, acting like, watching and fighting like Transformers. I am not allowed to watch the movies nor the new animation because they are way too violent- but mommy and daddy do let me watch the 1980's show that is now on TV. Optimus Prime (or Ocimus as I prefer to call him) who is an Autobot is my fave...but Megatron and the Desekakons (Deceptacons) and pretty rad too!! Here I am talking about a recent episode...

Bathing Beauties

Not all of my play dates end with nakee time...but this one did. Well, for Alex & Bella it did- but I decided to stay decent and clothed. They sure did have fun in a tiny bucket and I do think that if I could have squeezed myself in there with them,  I just might have joined in!!!!

Beach Bum Buddies

To top off our "shore visit", Owen and I had a blast on the beach. We ran, dug, jumped and just thoroughly enjoyed one another. Hey Owen- how about we become life guards when we get older? Then we can spend the whole summer goofing off livin' it up at the beach!!!!!!

Tradition

A tradition that Nana had with her kids was to get a pic each summer of them on her front steps in Cape May...so, mommy is trying to carry on that tradition with me and Owen. Check out this years shots...

Swimmin' With Owen

Nana, Uncle Jeff and Owen were in Cape May for a few days- so mommy and I decided to get in some family time and head down to the beach too! We had 2 fun filled days of cousin fun and we got along awesome the whole time!!!! Mommy and I picked up Owen some "swimmies" like the ones I have and O and I splashed around in the water like we were fishies. At fist he was a little cautious, but after about 30 minutes he was a daredevil in the water like me. Thank goodness he had his swimmes on, too- because  Uncle Jeff put O-man in a night time diaper instead of the swimmie diaper.  If you know anything about the difference in diapers (one holds a ton of fluid one holds barely any), you will know that Owen's diaper held about 27 lbs of pool water and he would have sunk like a boulder if not for his flotation device!!!!

Friends

We have had a lot of family time this summer, but this past weekend we managed to squeeze in some awesome friend time too! We headed to The Curry's house for a fabulous BBQ filled with food, festivities and backyard fun. There were lots of kids there and we all played hard. I know I also slept hard that night- hopefully for the parents who had a couple beers, the other kiddies did too!!! Thank you  Jimmy, Krista & l'il Jimmy for such a wonderful day!
