Thanksgiving Celebration Part 2

The family fun festivities continued the day after Turkey Day too, when Papa, Nana, Uncle Rick, Aunt Sarah and Cousin Maggie came over to CiCi and Bud's house for brunch. Again- the adults ate too much yummy food and  Maggie and I played with all my toys and most importantly, Patches. Little Patchy was a huge hit with Maggie and I think (just like mommy and daddy fear with me) that she wants a dog too. Patches- you sure are filled with puppy love and I do believe it is contagious...

Turkey Day

Turkey schmurkey!! I know for the adults, Thanksgiving is about celebrating with food, family, friends and some drinks...but for me- this year was all about RUNNING!!! I had a partner in crime this year too...Brady!! From the minute that everyone got to CiCi & Buds house to start our feast- all I wanted to do was run! When mamma asked me if I was going to play with Brady, I repsonded..."No- not gonna play wth Brady, I'm gonna RUN with Brady!!!!!" In between running, we did manage to scarf a few small bites of dinner a lot of ice cream & played with Brady's iPad and other toys- but the highlight was the end of the evening when the adults had imbibed and eaten a ton, were in their turkey stupor, and were willing to let us run around like banshees playing with a ball and 2 hard foam like "mini bats"!!! I gotta tell you- that I ran SOOOOOOO MUCH that I started throwing up and just could not stop. Mommy is quite thankful that I did not eat too much dinner- because I hurled on her at least 6 times. Mental note for next year- running and thanksgiving don't go together extremely well. I would not have changed a thing, though. Even in the middle of puking from too much fun, I kept saying to mommy "I wanna run- I REALLY wanna run!!!" She pout me to bed, sweaty, pukey and out of breath- but happy as a clam!!! So to sum it all up- this year I was thankful for my buddy Brady, my feet and the ability to run like the wind!!!!!

Back Yard Buddies

Patches, Hoover and Bud came to see my new house and I got to show off my new backyard to them!! I thought that I was a runner...but boy did Patchy outdo even me! Hoover was not even about to compete with us two youngsters- but he was out there watching over us and enjoying the back yard time too. Bud and I had a catch (and we threw the ball to the doggies) and Bud even taught me how to swing a tennis racket the correct way!!!  I had so much fun with "the boys" that it started me wondering what it would be like to have my own little doggie  live here with me so I could take it out into the back yard all the time. Mommy said not to get any idea's- but I am not gonna give up on the idea just yet...

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Ever since my god family was here and we had a special treat of chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, I have been incessantly bugging mommy for them EVERY morning, noon & night. I have decided that I should be able to eat them at every single meal. Well, mommy and daddy have decided otherwise. So- now we have a new tradition...chocolate chip pancakes on the WEEKENDS!!!!!

Chillin' With The O Man

Owen got to come over to our house the other day while Aunt Nina had an appointment. All went well- we ran ran ran in the backyard, rode the quad & had small meltdown because I had to share the quad, ate lunch, hit the golf ball, played with my toys and spent some awesome cousin bonding time together. There was only once incident where I wacked him with a sword and it upset him so much that he hurled on the floor. So sorry, Owen- I promise to be way more careful next time you come over. You did christen our new house with it's first puke, though...so  now at least that is out of the way! We played right through nap time and I was so pooped that I passed out right on the couch before Owen and Auntie Nina even left. I woke up upset and frustrated that my cute l'il cuz had slipped out while I slumbered. Oh well- that just means we need to get together again real soon so that next time I can send you off with a proper bye bye...

First Friend Overnight

We have had guests stay over in our new house before- but I have never had anyone my age yet- so my god sisters visit was the first!! Auntie KK, Tio Flo, Evie and Greta made their way down from North Jersey this weekend and I was one happy host! We did the usual- daddy and Flo have some beers, mommy and Auntie KK had some wine and the girlies and I played played played. I showed them my new room where we played- and the super cool finished basement where, you guessed it- we played!!I really enjoyed their visit!  I am totally bummed that Auntie KK went back to work so we can no longer schlep our way up to Jersey during the week to visit. Weekend warriors we shall become. Thanks for coming to visit- you guys are such good guests you are welcome back any time!!!!!

Family Floor Time

It seems as though I am one lucky boy!! You might think that you have heard me say that before...well you are right and I will say it again and again!!!! I am such a lucky boy! Two days in a row I got to hang with wonderful family members that played and rumpused with me on the floor!!!! First, Nana came to visit and we had a rowdy time of it in my new room.She spent the night and the fun continued on...The next day we went to NJ to see Great Grandma Grace, Aunt Liz & Uncle Joe where the rockin' rolling good times continued. I wrestled on the floor with Uncle Joe and got to play with fire engines that my late Great Grandpa Dick had saved! It is obvious that I love to play on the floor- but I wanted to send a huge thank you out to all those adults who get down & dirty with me on the lower level. Yup- here it comes- I am such a lucky boy!!!!!
