Beach Prep

Since mommy and I headed down to the beach a few days early- we wanted to make sure we helped Bud & CiCi get things ready for Memorial Day weekend. Even though we were claiming to do work and help- it was actually a lot of fun. Mommy got the hard job of cleaning off all the sandy moldy beach toys and chairs while I just played with all the newly cleaned and polished beach balls, buckets, shovels and shells. If this summer is half as fun as cleaning toys in the backyard- we are in store for some good times!!!!

Billions O' Bubbles

In order to keep me out of Poppy's hair during the day while we are staying at his and Mommom's house, mommy has tried really hard to keep me occupied. (I mean, we don't want him to be sick of us already- since it has only been 2 weeks since we sold our house so we are still trying to be on our best behavior.) Well- one day last week we went a little bubble ballistic!!!!!  Uncle Sammy had given me a bubble gun and boy does it rock!! It had rained not long before we ventured outside and all the bubbles I blew seemed to all coagulate and stick to the wet deck. They just kept sticking and growing  and sticking and growing...until we had a spectacular bubble building!!!!! Almost as fun as creating the super structure was when I went jump crazy and demolished the whole thing!!!!!

Happy Cake, Nana!!!!!

This past weekend we got to help Nana ring in a very special birthday milestone. Most of the immediate family was able to be there to help her celebrate and it was even a surprise!! It was really cool that Aunt Courtney was able to pull off the surprise without Nana catching wind of it befiore the party! When mommy told me we were going to a party, I joyously shouted "CAKE!!!" Mommy even tried to prep me to say "Happy Birthday" to Nana, but all I would say was "Happy Cake!!" Can you figure out what I was looking forward to??? Other than the wonderfulness of the cake- I had a blast with a bunch of my cousins. We rough housed, played barbies and ran around outside playing all different sports. It was a super fun party for me (despite a time out or two for being a bit of a bully) so I sure hope that it was equally as fun for the birthday girl. Thanks for letting me share in your fab party, Nana! Love ya!!!!!

The Great Outdoors

My Mommom and Poppy live down in Maryland on the Chesapeake River (and incidentally, now so do I half of the time!!) It is a really cool place for a little guy like me to explore. There are streams, a huge river, plants, snakes, bugs, worms, frogs, sticks, rocks, dirt and tons of sand. The beach here is not like the beach in Avalon, there are only waves when a boat comes by- which I kinda like- because it is a bit calmer for little old me! I have really embraced this opportunity and am trying to commune with the outdoors man inside of me. Poppy took me down to the stream and showed me where the froggies live- mommy and I touched a worm with a stick, we collected a super special piece of driftwood and I threw sand from the beach into the water for hours on end. The only sticking point for me so far with this outdoors man way of life is that I just cannot stand my feet getting wet & icky on our walks through the property. I always want mommy to pick me up so that morning dew does not get inside my Crocs. If even a small amount of water or dirt shows up on the top of my shoe I freak out and make mommy clean them off. I am feeling like maybe I am more of a city boy at heart- but I am going to push through and try to embrace this more nature loving lifestyle, because shoe ick aside..it is fun fun fun!!!

M I A

I know, I know...it has been way too long since I have posted about my VERY interesting life!!! A ton has been going on- and I know I have been slack these past few weeks with keeping you all in the loop. I must say that the blame does not fall on my shoulders!!!!! Mommy has dropped the ball a few times recently and her "oopsies" have made it so I have not had pics to go along with my posts. It seems as though we have not had all of our equipment in the same place at the same time. We will have the camera, but not the laptop and USB cable, then we will go to another home and have the USB, but not the camera, yadda yadda yadda...This living between 3 homes has sent her into a funky spiral and she is slowly but surely finding her way out if it. So- keep checking in and I promise to have some updates by the end of the week, once we hit all 3 homes and gather our stuff!!!!

Final Farewell

Sorry I have been M.I.A for a while now- but it is kinda hard to blog when you are homeless!!!!! Mommy and daddy officially sold our house on Friday and we have been making the rounds, acquainting ourselves with the nomadic lifestyle. I am not too sure who told mommy and daddy that this would be a good idea to tote a 2 year old to and fro this summer- but they seem to think that it is going to work while they take their time and look for the prefect house for us to move into! I am actually excited about it- living at the beach, on the Chesapeake and in the city. Three very different environments to broaden my experiences!! As excited as I am for the summer- I was a little bummed to be leaving the only home I have ever known. Mommy took me back through the house right before settlement and boy was it different. When she unlocked the front door- the first thing I said when I looked in on the vast emptiness was "Where stuff?????" Then upon proceeding into my bedroom- I declared "I don't see my Pa's (paci's)!!" I am glad that mamma took me through the house on last time, walking through each and every room and waving good-bye. I am still a little clueless as to what is really going on- but I have not asked to go home to that house at all since walking out that door the last time. Guess the memories are not within the walls of a home, but within the hearts of those living together!!

Let Us Eat Cake!!!

Well, mommy and daddy shipped me off the Avalon this weekend so that they could concentrate on  moving us out of our house. Boy did this work out super well for me!! They got to do all the heavy lifting (well, actually that job was left to the movers) while I got to hang out with CiCi, Bud & Hoover and have tons of fun! As much as I love my CiCi, this visit was a special bonding time with my Bud! He setup my train table for me to play on, we baked a cake, took walks and did a couple of trips to the grocery store  together. Both Bud and CiCi kept me very well occupied and I only asked for mommy a few times. I held it together very well for my wonderful sitters, but after about 2 hours of being reunited with mamma, I just lost it and went into full breakdown mode. 4 days and 3 nights is along time to be away from my parents and just could not help myself. That being said- I had a blast (and was super spoiled) by Bud & CiCi and am so looking forward to spending tons of time with them this summer!

SOLD!!!!

Well, this will probably be the last post for a while. I have 1 more day in the house that I was brought home from the hospital to. It is the home where I took my first steps, said my first word, cut my first tooth,  and (unfortunately) got my first time out!! I know I will not have  clear memories of living here, but it has been a great home to me (ummm...kickin' playroom!) Somewhere in my baby memories I will always remember my first home...Sniff Sniff. Bye Bye,  4019 Rosemont Avenue!!!

Mamma Suzi

Why is it that I call my mommy "Mamma" and everyone else calls her "Suzi??" This has always been perplexing to me, so I decided to remedy that! I was waiting for the perfect time to blurt out my new name for mamma and the opportunity presented itself last night after my tubby. We were doing our pretend sleepy time when I got a bit rough, started jumping on the bed, head butted mamma & got a time out. Mamma was checking out the video's from Luke's Christening as I was doin' my time- but it seemed like she forgot about me and I was sitting in punishment for too long, so- I decided to remind her. I yelled "Sooosiii, sooosiii!!!" She started giggling and turned the video camera towards me & was able to catch this funny display! I played it up saying her name and getting out of time out at the same time. I think I threw her for such a loop by calling her Suzi instead of mamma, that she totally forgot all about my time out and what I had initially done wrong. I'm gonna have to think of other funny things to say when I get into trouble and am put into time out, 'cause it worked like a charm & I was free...

Holy Man Luke

My l'ilest cuz, Luke was Baptised (Christened??...not too sure of the difference) yesterday and I got to share in the festivities!!! Of course this meant that I had to attend church, which I am not great at!!! It is just so darn hard to sit still for an hour when you are a wigglepuss like me! Luke, on the other hand- was the best little boy ever in church. When the minister put the water on his head, he just started talking up a storm!!!! He was go'in & ga'in all over the place! After the ceremony- we headed back to his house where Auntie Jenna and Uncle Boog had a great spread of food, drink & yup- you guessed it...dessert!!!! I had my fair share of petit fours and was super bummed when mamma would not let me sugar overload and have cake too. Luke's other cousins (Maggie & Will) were there, as as well as her family, Anne Mathay- and of course, CiCi and Bud! The kids who could walk went outside, got all dirty & sweaty and ran around the yard while Uncle Sammy blew bubbles for us to try & catch. Soon enough, Lukey will be right out there with us- but on his special day he got to freshen up with a mini nap so he was the extra special well behaved man of the hour! It was a great day surrounded by family, friends & loved ones. Congrats on your special day, Lukey- Welcome to the club!!!
